Digital Empathizers: TechTonic Season 2 Winners

TechTonic is HUL’s technology case study competition curated for B-school students, with aim to give them a dope of real-life business challenges and to come up with innovation technology led solutions.

This season was even bigger, given our collaboration NASSCOM 10,000 startups initiative, that offered an opportunity for students to understand the ideology of startups and the way they function.

Around 3,921 registrations, 689 team submission from across 17 Top B-schools from India. Out of these we had our Top 5 teams running our Grand Finale on 30th October 2020.

The team that finally made it to the top spot and were announced as National Winners is Team Digital Empathizers from SIBM, Pune – Twinkle Pajiyar, Mayur Gangwal and Vedantsing Pardeshi.

Here's what they have to say about their journey to become National Winners.

“TechTonic challenged us in our area of expertise. Due to the thorough nature of the case allotted, we had to do both theoretical and field-work, which helped us know the ground level functioning of the organization and at the same time provide feasible solutions fitting the organization.

Realising the dynamicity and developments in the FMCG sector were our key takeaways from the shared case study. Video and Elevator Pitch submission were the most memorable moments for us, mainly because we were new to video making and there was a paucity of time and the rendering part took a lot of time which made us worried.

It was a great learning experience that made us interact with the stakeholders and understand their point of view. This helped us empathize with them and provide our recommendations. Overall, it was an enriching Journey for us.”
